Just got back from a stint in Toronto, what did I do?

I’m going to try and keep this updated more! Promise!

I’ve been listening to Silverstein since High School, they’re just one of those bands that never gets old. They played Junctions on the 4th of October to a sold out all ages, and a ridiculously amazing 19+ crowd. Lead singer, Shane Told, has to be one of the nicest guys I’ve met in recent years. Completely fantastic to spend the day with these guy – all of which were insanely great (including their techs Sean & Kevin!) Two insane shows, less than 24 hours, no sleep always makes for ridiculous stories! I spent the day shooting, driving the guys around and ‘havin’ a time’. Not to mention Shane was a little smitten with the name of my hometown, haha. I always love running into these guys, they’re in this game for the love of music – and it really shows. Yet another packed show here on the rock, and fresh off the heels of an album release, two Canadian tours, a European tour and an Australian tour. Nothing like wandering downtown with a strobe, umbrella, my camera and a bunch of lovely men. That’s how most of my shoots are, who needs one location when you can have as many as you want! I was contacted by Overlay for a few promos and live shots a little while ago and we finally got out to do them, stopping traffic and making friends in the process.

What would a festival be without the fans that attend? Luckily this was basically Woodstock ‘94 re-created in terms of muddy fun.

Well good morning! I arrived in toronto safe and sound, very lovely but extremely boring flight on sunwing, great service… shitty entertainment.

Tonight I’ll be at the Kool Haus shooting Peace Dot Love Festival (www.peacedotlove.com) and if you’re in the area you should check it out. Great bands including Stereos and Down with webster. Big schedual of plans the entire time I’m up here, I can’t wait to get the shots done and update you!

This thursday I’ll be in Toronto and I’ll be checking out the Peace Dot Love Festival featuring: Stereos, U.S.S, Down With Webster and a TON more bands!
